March 23-26, 2006 Bowling Green State University, Bowling Green, Ohio will host an international, interdisciplinary conference, "Trajectories of Memory: Intergenerational Representations of the Holocaust in History and the Arts."
Featured keynote speakers will be: Professor Marianne Hirsch, Columbia University; Professor Leo Spitzer, Dartmouth College; Professor Atina Grossmann, Cooper Union; Mr. Ernest Michel, UJA Federation NY; Mr. Abraham Pasternak.
There will be panel presentations representing the fields of history, German literature, art, English literature, music, theatre, and psychology. Dr. Henry "Hank" Greenspan will perform a one-man play, "Remnants."
The artwork of Marty Kalb will be on display in McFall Gallery and there will be a musical performance of a song poem cycle based on "I Never Saw Another Butterfly."
All events are free and open to the public with the exception of the luncheon on Friday March 24th. Fees for lunch will be $10.00.
