The Conference on Black History is an annual event focusing on the many aspects of the Commonwealth's African American heritage. The theme of the 2006 program, "The State of African American Museums in Pennsylvania," will examine the many innovative ways to educate, promote, and publizcise black history in Pennsylavania.
Including talks by distinguished scholars of Pennsylvania'a African American History on United States Colored Troops, Negro Baseball Leagues and Historic Preservation.
The Keynoter Speaker will be Lonnie G. Bunch, founding director of the Smithsonian's National Museum of African American History and Culture. The keynote will be followed by a panel inculding,
