SOLS invites proposals for an interdisciplinary graduate student conference to be held at MSU. It endeavors to bring together students and faculty from diverse disciplines for stimulating discourse and networking about Latina/o issues nationally and in the Midwest.

While the thematic nexus of this year's conference hopes to address questions of gender, sexuality, and migration in U.S. Latina/o communities, presentations constituting other areas of Latina/o research are also welcome. Aspiring academic researchers in the Social Sciences and Humanities are invited to submit proposals to share their work and insights.

Please submit proposals to SOLS_MSU@yahoo.com by Friday, March 10, 2006. Decisions will be emailed by Friday, March 17, 2006. For each proposal please submit: 1) a program submission cover sheet, 2) a one-page abstract, and 3) program/department and university affiliations of the presenters.
