Call for Papers
The Midwest Popular Culture Association/American Culture Association has just established an Area Chair in Girls’ Culture/Girls’ Studies in order to promote the presentation of scholarship at the Association’s annual conference to be held October 27-29, 2006 in Indianapolis, Indiana.
One-page girl-centered paper abstracts and/or panel proposals (that include from 3 to 4 papers) should be emailed by April 30th 2006, to the Area Chair, Miriam Forman-Brunell (Forman-BrunellM@umkc.edu) or sent to:

Include the name, affiliation, postal address, telephone number, and e-mail of each presenter/participant. Indicate which, if any, information you do not want published in the program schedule. (A preliminary version of the schedule will be posted on our website; the final version will be distributed in hard copy at the conference).
After your proposal is accepted you will receive hotel registration instructions. The Association strongly urges presenters to lodge at the conference hotel. (see below)
