The Regional Oral History Office is offering a week long, intensive, academically oriented institute on the theory, methodology,and practice of oral/video history, August 14–18, 2006, designed for academic, independent, public, and community scholars engaged in serious research that in some manner utilizes oral/video history and/or interview-based methodologies.
The Institute revolves around the specific work of its participants and the larger historical questions they seek to address. Presentations given by ROHO's academic faculty and visiting scholars [the latter who focus on oral history and mass media.] A daily schedule and reader will be provided ahead of time.
Tuition $850. Applications Due April 21; notification of acceptance May 1, possibly earlier.
