I am seeking abstracts for a panel on subculture. Papers will be presented at the Midwest Popular Culture Association/Midwest American Culture Association annual conference, Friday-Sunday, October 27-29, 2006, at the Sheraton Indianapolis Hotel & Suites.

Topics may include social movements, music and subculture, social deviance, gang theory, and religion. I am looking for topics which will consider the nature of subculture, within popular culture, as it relates to creative expression.
