CAIRO PAPERS IN SOCIAL SCIENCE, a monograph series that publishes material on issues and problems of concern to the Middle East, is looking for manuscripts dealing with social sciences as they relate to Egypt and the region. The journal has been in existence since 1977. Governed by an Editorial Board composed of faculty from social science disciplines, it has published a great variety of studies on contemporary social, economic, and political issues and is now including historical topics also. Our manuscripts are subjected to a review (referee) process, and are published by us in conjunction with the American University in Cairo Press. Issues published in our last volume are: Culture and Natural Environment: Ancient and Modern Middle Eastern Texts, Street Children in Egypt: Group Dynamics and Subcultural Constituents, IMF-Egyptian Debt Negotiations, and Forced Migrants and Host Societies in Egypt and Sudan.
We encourage the submission of appropriate studies to us for consideration. Manuscripts should be around 150 double-spaced typewritten pages. They should have fresh data and/or fresh ideas and are not narrowly technical. If you have any submissions or inquiries, please contact:
