In the process of creating a new journal, the CARNETS LEIRIS, we are currently trying to put together a team of dynamic volunteers who wish to participate in its editorial development.
Every serious initiative will be welcome, whether or not you have experience in the field.
In particular, we are looking for dedicated readers of Michel Leiris’s work who could be part of the journal’s editorial or advisory board. For most of the communications between collaborators, given the journal’s international dimension, it will be possible to proceed exclusively via e-mail.
In order to support this project, the “Association des lecteurs de Michel Leiris” will soon be created. Every person who wishes to become a board member can also volunteer by March 1, 2006.
Once a year, the CARNETS LEIRIS will publish critical essays either by renowned scholars or well-read individuals, be it in French or in a foreign language, addressing any aspect of Leiris’s life and work (both literary and ethnographic).
The publication of the first issue is planned for the end of 2006 or the beginning of 2007.
There is no specific deadline to submit a brief article proposition (although Spring 2006 is preferred); as for the final version of the article, it should be submitted to the journal by September 1, 2006.
