The New England Council of Latin American Studies (NECLAS) is pleased to issue a Call for Papers for its 37th annual meeting, to be held on Saturday, October 28, 2006 at Middlebury College, Middlebury, Vermont.
Allen Wells (NECLAS President and History, Bowdoin College) is coordinating the program and Mark Williams (Political Science, Middlebury College) is in charge of local arrangements. NECLAS encourages proposals for complete panels, round table discussions, and workshops (individual paper submissions will be accepted, but they often are hard to match up with proposed panels). We have 15-18 panel slots. Submissions are invited from any academic field, and proposals from graduate students and secondary school teachers are especially welcome.
