The Gilder Lehrman History Scholars Program, a competitive summer scholarship program in American history for outstanding college sophomores and juniors, seeks applicants who have demonstrated superb research and writing skills in the field of American history. The program has two components: 15 elite History Scholarships that include a six-week, all-expenses-paid, scholarly research program in New York and a stipend of $2400. And up to 50 awards for runners-up, who will be named Finalists and invited to an all-expenses-paid, one-week program in New York. Applications are due March 1, 2006. See website for more details.
