Social History of Medicine seeks a co-editor to join Bill Luckin, Jim Mills, Book Review editor, and Ruth Biddiss, assistant editor, from 1 September 2006. Social History of Medicine is the leading international journal in its field and covers all aspects of the social, cultural and economic history of medicine. It is published by Oxford University Press on behalf of the Society for the Social History of Medicine. Applicants are asked to send a C.V. and statement of interest to the chair of the Society, Dr Flurin Condrau, Centre for the History of Science, Technology and Medicine, University of Manchester, Brunswick Street, Manchester M13 9PL (f.condrau@manchester.ac.uk). The application should provide a brief account of why the candidate is attracted to the post and a synopsis of relevant experience. Expertise in all areas and-or time-periods will be welcome. The Society also wishes strongly to encourage applications from outside the United Kingdom. The deadline is 31 March 2006.
