I am seeking two or three panelists for the 2007 AHA Annual Meeting in Atlanta. The proposed panel concerns abortion within the early modern period. My own paper discusses the first known manual abortion in colonial America. It deals specifically with how the trial that followed the death of the girl who sought the abortion was not actually about the abortion but more about the struggle for power between a community and a doctor. Papers from the early modern period that deal broadly in any capacity with the theme of abortion or doctors or medicine are welcome. Please send abstracts or questions to email@example.com. The panel proposal is due on February 15.
