“From Past to Future. Perspective on Canadian and International Security ”
Call for Papers
4th Annual REGIS Graduate Student Conference
April 7-8, 2006
Montreal, Québec
The Research Group in International Security (REGIS) will be holding its 4th annual graduate student conference in Montreal, April 7-8, 2006. We invite graduate students to submit paper proposals for presentations that should not exceed 20 minutes in length. The presentations should deal with the issue of security broadly defined. Suggested topics include, but are not limited to:
• Strategic Studies
• Military history
• Civil Wars
• Disarmament
• Defence and Security Policy
• Civil-Military Relations
• Peacekeeping
• Intelligence
The main goals of this conference are to stimulate collaboration between students from different Canadian and North American universities and allow them to present the results of their current research. Presentations can be in English or French.
Proposals should not exceed 200 words. Please include a brief biography. Please submit your proposals to gersi@umontreal.ca.

REGIS is an inter-university group at McGill University and the Université de Montréal. It is part of the Security and Defence Forum, a pan-Canadian network of university centres researching in the fields of defence and security studies.
