CALL FOR WORK: The Langston Hughes African American Film Festival seeks short form film, video, and multimedia work by (and about) African-Americans and people of African descent from around the world. Filmmakers do not have to be Black but film themes must have primary focus on Black life & culture. Categories: drama, animation, children’s/youth films, lesbian/gay, documentary, shorts about African American life and culture. Length: 60 min. or less. Seeking positive images & stories. $50 honorarium paid for works selected. Please send preview copy and $10 submission fee to: LHAFF, Langston Hughes Performing Arts Center, 104 - 17th Avenue South, Seattle WA 98144 USA. PLEASE MAKE CHECKS PAYABLE TO LANGSTON HUGHES PERFORMING ARTS CENTER. Preview formats: VHS, DVD, CD-ROM.
