The Institute for Asian Studies at Florida International University in Miami is pleased to announce the offering of an interdisciplinary Master of Arts in Asian Studies program begun in the fall of 2005.
The Asian Studies M.A. is designed for students who wish to pursue advanced studies of historical and contemporary trends, as well as Japanese and Chinese language courses.
The degree provides students with a strong foundation in the traditional cultures and modern socio-economic societies of the region with an emphasis on East Asia.
Students interested in international affairs can also take advantage of the connection with Latin America through FIU's location in Miami and prestigious Latin American and
Caribbean Studies Center, with which Asian Studies collaborates.
