Call for papers: “The Great Revival Movement in Korea, 1903-1907”
The annual Luce Conference of Korean Christianity will be held at the Center for Korean Studies of the University of California Los Angeles in April, 2006.
We request 1-2 page proposals on the theme of “The Great Revival Movement in Korea, 1903-1907” for possible presentations at the one or two-day conference.
Deadline for submissions of the proposal: February 18, 2006.
As this is the second conference on the same theme, we need papers on more specific aspects of the movement, for example, Korean Christians’ concept of sins during the movement, its liturgical indigenization, its socio-political impact, and its leaders’ pheumatology.
The Center will provide the speakers with airfare, accommodation, and honorary.
Dr. Sung-Deuk Oak, Luce post-doctoral fellow of Korean Christianity, UCLA Center for Korean Studies, 11372 B Bunche Hall, UCLA, Los Angeles, CA 90095-1487.
