Total solar eclipses are celestial events that have historical, cultural, and scientific significance to Africans. In celebration of the March 29, 2006, eclipse, this conference focuses on the cultural astronomy of Africans and solar physics. The conference includes workshops for students and K12 educators and is open to the general public and enthusiasts. Please join us to learn about the latest research on the astronomy of Africans, innovations in research methods, and the history of astronomy in Africa.
