Total solar eclipses are celestial events that have historical, cultural, and scientific significance to Africans. In celebration of the March 29, 2006, eclipse, this conference focuses on the cultural astronomy of Africans and solar physics. The conference includes workshops for students and K12 educators and is open to the general public and enthusiasts.
