The Oral History Association Education Committee is putting out this call for papers, panels, and roundtables for the upcoming 2006 Annual Meeting. The theme of the meeting will be GENERATIONAL LINKS: Confronting the Past, Understanding the Present, Planning the Future. (See main conference call for papers, below.) This theme clearly provides many opportunities for presentations featuring oral history education. We also welcome proposals for individual presentations, papers, panels, or roundtables on any of the following topics:
- The oral history workshop
- Archiving student oral histories
- Oral history and youth radio
- Classroom oral history and the arts
- Teaching teachers oral history
- Teaching oral history at the university level
- Oral history and Teaching American History grants
- Equipment for classroom oral histories
- Addressing standards through oral history
- Oral history in the elementary classroom
- Teaching interviewing skills
- Oral history and English Language Learners
- Oral history in the inclusive classroom
- Making connections though oral history
- Schools-based oral history and community activism

Please note that scholarships are available for teachers and students to attend the Annual Meeting. Application information will be forthcoming on the OHA website (http://omega.dickinson.edu/organizations/oha/).
Proposal format: submit five copies of the proposal. For full sessions, submit a title, a session abstract of not more than two pages, and a one-page vita or resume for each participant. For individual proposals, submit a one-page abstract and a one-page vita or resume of the presenter. Each submission must be accompanied by a cover sheet, which can be printed from the OHA Web site: www.dickinson.edu/oha. Click here for COVER SHEET.
Proposals should be postmarked by January 31, 2006. They may be submitted by mail or fax. No e-mail attachments will be accepted.
