The Maryland Historian welcomes paper submissions for an upcoming issue entitled Beyond the Ivory Tower: Intellectuals and the Wider World.
This issue hopes to consider how historians have interacted with and commented upon world historical events. The topic is intended to be broadly construed, however, suggested directions for submissions include the intersection of academia and activism; academics as public historians; the role of public history in shaping historical thinking; and how professional academics impact and are impacted by history and current events.
The Maryland Historian welcomes electronic submissions at marylandhistorian@yahoo.com. Alternatively, manuscripts should be submitted on a Windows formatted 3.5” floppy or ZIP disc. Manuscripts are sent “blind” to referees; please put your name only on the title page.
