History and Memory: World War I in British Culture, is a 4-week
National Endowment for the Humanities seminar for 15 K-12 teachers. The seminar will run from July 2-July 28, 2006, and will be taught by Barry Milligan and Carol Engelhardt of Wright State University. The first two weeks of the seminar will be held in London. We will then tour the battlefields and memorials of the Western Front before returning to London for the final week. Participants will read primary and secondary sources throughout the seminar, and complete a final project. Participants may receive graduate credit for the seminar upon completion of a lengthier final project.
