This conference will focus of the dynamic economic, geopolitical and social developments taking place within Asian and their likely impacts on international tourism. The conference title, “Tourism in the New Asia: Implications for Research, Policy and Practice” reflects this overall theme. Our August 2006 conference offers an opportunity for researchers, policy makers, industry practitioners and community representatives from across the globe to engage in a constructive dialogue on tourism in the context of New Asia . The conference programme is designed to offer a mix of scientific and practice papers, workshops and roundtable discussions.
