Call for papers deadline extended, Eighth National Conference of the National Coalition of Independent Scholars.
The conference, “Scholars Without Borders,” is sponsored by The National Coalition of Independent Scholars and Princeton Research Forum and will be held in Princeton, New Jersey on June 16-18, 2006.
The deadline has been extended to December 31, 2005
The program committee invites submissions for panels or individual presentations on participants’ research interests and/or methodologies as independent scholars.
Special emphasis for this conference is on transcending the borders encountered in independent scholarship, such as those that divide academic disciplines, ideologies, scholarly and popular writing/publishing, nations, vocation and avocation, etc.
Prospective participants should submit
1) an abstract (up to 250 words)
2) a brief c.v. (one page maximum)

Poster Session: This year’s conference will include a new feature, a poster session on “Strategies and Tools for Independent Scholarship” during our opening Friday night reception. If you have a good technique for getting published, internet researching, grant writing, gaining access to libraries and archives, marketing your work, etc. please submit a one-page proposal for a 3X4 poster board display (we supply board and double-stick tape).
