The 2nd Midwest Environmental Ethics Conference will be held on May 6, 2006, at the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul.
Conference theme is "Making Ethics Visible," and featured speakers are the environmental philosophers J. Baird Callicott and Andrew Light, and Peter Bell, Chair of the Metropolitan Council of the Twin Cities. Sponsors are the University of St. Thomas, University of Minnesota, Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, and Minnesota Association for Environmental Education.
Proposals are invited from academic philosophers, natural resource professionals, environmental education practitioners, and interested community members for papers, panels, roundtables, workshops, and other presentations that address the role of environmental ethics in community decision-making. Deadline for submission is January 6, 2006.
