Artful Strategies and Necessary Risks: Negotiating Gender and Identity across cultures and disciplines. May 7, 2006 on the campus of California State University, Sacramento.
The conference invites submissions that address strategies that deal with literal and/or figurative speculation and risk-taking of the sort often associated with the construction and negotiation of identity and gender, marriage, artistic production, cultural figuration and exchange.
Submissions from across the disciplines - Literature, History, Anthropology, Religious Studies, Art History and the Social Sciences will be considered. Please send abstracts by January 10th 2006.
