Women and Minorities in Science: How Faculty Can Make a Difference

This tuition-free NSF Short Course will be held in Washington, D.C. on June 15-17, 2006. It will be led by Catherine Didion of the International Network of Women Engineers & Scientists and James H. Stith of the American Institute of Physics. It will explore effective strategies for recruiting and retaining women and under-represented minorities in all science disciplines. Applications will be available soon on the web (www.chautauqua.pitt.edu) but details can be sent now to persons requesting them.
