Opportunity for AHA Members to Work with Colleagues in Public History and Earn a $250 Honorarium

The AHA Professional Division will sponsor an experimental session at the 2006 annual meeting entitled Exchange of Views: Doing American History at Historic Sites.

The executive directors and staff of ten Philadelphia area museums and historic sites will host a conversation about the challenges of public history with ten scholars specializing in a field of interest to each site. Selected scholars will receive a $250 honorarium in return for visiting the site and responding in writing to a set of questions about interpretive concerns submitted by site staff.
