The Madison Historical Review is a scholarly journal based
out of the History Department at James Madison University,
created and edited by graduate students. It is an annual,
online, scholarly publication providing peer input from both
faculty and graduate students on graduate scholarship.
The Madison Historical Review is now accepting articles for publication in the spring issue. Only work focusing upon either American or European history will be considered. Submissions for the spring issue will be accepted until January 16, 2006. Articles received after that date will be considered for future publication. Submissions should be presented in Courier New font (11 pt.), as well as having 1.5 line spacing. The typical margins of .5 each side and 1.25 at the top and bottom of the page will suffice. The papers should be no less than fifteen pages and not exceed twenty pages in length including footnotes not endnotes. Three hard copies with the author’s name appearing only on the cover sheet, as well as one copy in Microsoft Word format on disk should be sent to:
