SCOPE:
Solid State Ionics is a growing inter-disciplinary branch of science and tech-nology. It deals with ionically conducting materials in the form of inorganic solids, ceramics, glasses, polymers, composites and nanostructures with applications in solid state devices such as solid state and polymer batteries, fuel cells, electrochromic displays, solar cells and sensors.
Specific areas to be covered are :
• Synthesis, characterization and appli-cations of ionically conducting materials such as inorganic crystalline solids, ceramics, glasses, polymers, gels, com-posites and nanostructures
• Cathode/anode materials and interfaces
• Electronically conducting polymers, poly-mer devices including artificial muscles
• Ionically transport mechanisms and theoretical modeling
• Nanoionic materials, nanocomposites, structures and devices
• Ion conducting biological systems and biomaterials
• Batteries, fuel cells, sensors, solar cells, supercapacitors, electrochromic displays and molecular electronic devices.
