Perspectives on Global Development and Technology (PGDT) and Brill Academic Publishers will publish in 2006 a special issue of PGDT, which will also be published as a separate book by Brill. PGDT is a peer-reviewed international journal. The journal and book project will be a large, authoritative investigation of the broad subject of African brain drain and brain gain in the new transnational age.
Topics of interest: bidirectional historical and potential impacts of African diaspora and the African continent concerning economic and political development; history of African diasporas; diversity of African diasporas; sociology and culture of diasporas; African diasporas from the perspective of individual states and the continent and the subcontinent; and scientists and technologists in the African diaspora.
