The 40th Annual UCLA Art History Graduate Student Association Symposium "On Collecting" will be held at the Hammer Museum on October 28, 2005.

Nine panelists have been selected to present in three categories of:
-Formation: The Collection as Commodity
-Transmission: Politics, Geography, and the Collection
-Reception: The Collection in Situ
The Symposium's keynote speaker will be Professor Malcolm Baker, Director, Graduate Program in Approaches to the History of Collecting and Display, USC, and Special Advisor, Project for the Study of Collecting and Provenance, Getty Research Institute.
