CFP: Oxford Magazine – Creative Nonfiction / Essay Submissions – Rolling Deadline
Oxford Magazine is requesting essay and creative nonfiction submissions for its upcoming issue. And, the genre, as we (do not) conceive it, is a catch-all, much like the space under your couch cushions, and includes creative non-fiction, critical work exploring writing, and whatever else we like – please feel free to try us.
Works should be no more than 15 typed, double-spaced pages and, if the piece references outside sources, these should be properly documented in MLA style.
Potential contributors are encouraged to contact Zach Weir, the Essays Editor, if you have any questions or simply wish to say hello. He can be reached via email at weirza@muohio.edu.
About Oxford Magazine:
OxMag (as our friends call us) is an award-winning (Pushcart!) web-based journal published annually at www.oxfordmagazine.org. We have published such luminaries as William Stafford, Robert Pinsky, Stephen Dixon, Charles Baxter, and Stuart Dybek. OxMag jovially reads, and occasionally publishes fiction, poetry, and essays.
OxMag accepts e-mail submissions—visit the website for details. Please send the files as Word documents (.doc) in an attached form. Snail mail is fine (visit the website for our address), but snails get eaten because they are slow. Nobody eats emails.
Include your name, address and/or email address where you can be reached.
Print submissions should include a self addressed stamped envelope, or we can’t tell you what we think.
