2006 Call for Papers
American Historical Association, Pacific Coast Branch Meeting, August 3-6, 2006
Palo Alto, California
The Program Committee for the 2006 AHA-PCB annual meeting – to be held on the campus of Stanford University – invites single paper and complete session proposals (including panel discussions, film screenings with discussion, etc.) on all topics of history. The committee encourages sessions from a variety of national and chronological settings, sessions with an interdisciplinary approach, and sessions that relate to public history. As has been the practice of the AHA-PCB for many years, the program committee strongly encourages the participation of graduate students.
The committee co-chairs (Becky Nicolaides, University of California, San Diego and Pedro Castillo, University of California, Santa Cruz) prefer to receive proposals via email. When submitting a proposal for an entire session, please include an abstract that outlines the purpose of the session and designates one panelist as the contact person. Each paper proposal, whether individual or as part of a session, should include a one-page abstract, along with a one-page curriculum vitae, and a mailing address, phone, and email address for each participant.
Early submissions are strongly encouraged. Proposals submitted by December 10, 2005 will be given preference. Final deadline for submission of proposals is January 14, 2006. Submit proposals to program co-chair:
