The graduate students in History at the University of Toronto are pleased to invite proposals for the Second Annual Graduate History Symposium. The aim of this two day conference is to explore scholarly research into the relations between history and the media as well as the production of historically informed documentaries, radio shows, and other media texts. We encourage submissions from students and faculty members of all historical periods and places on the broad theme of “Media and History.” It is our hope to provide a forum for graduate students and faculty to present work in progress and receive feedback from their colleagues.

Proposals should not exceed 250 words and should be accompanied by a short biographical sketch. The deadline for submissions is December 1st. Proposals should be submitted electronically to tellingstories@utoronto.ca.
