Phi Alpha Theta Student Conference - West Texas Region

The Zeta Iota Chapter of Phi Alpha Theta at Texas Tech University requests paper and panel proposals for the West Texas Regional Conference, to be held on Saturday, February 18, 2005. The theme of the meeting is "The American West and the World" but we encourage papers from all historical fields to be submitted.
Each proposal should include a one page abstract including your address, phone nunber, e-mail address and school.
Panel proposals should include an abstract designating a contact person and outlining the purpose and content of the session.
Presentations may employ a traditional scholarly format or may be less formal incorporating art, music, and/or computer graphics.
Papers should be 10 to 12 pages in legnth and be presented within 20 minutes. The deadline for submission of abstracts is December 31, 2005 and final papers should be received by February 1, 2006.
Both undergraduate and graduate students are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to exchange ideas and get to know fellow historians and future colleagues.
