Saturday, October 8th, 10:00am-12:00 noon (registration begins at 9:30), panel and discussion titled "Maintaining Poverty: Women and the Welfare State," free at the Huntington Library, 1151 Oxford Road, San Marino. The speakers will discuss women, welfare, and poverty, the television program "Queen for a Day" and Latina immigrants and the failure of welfare reform. No reservation is required.
