The American Studies Program at Michigan State University joined by The Institute for the Study of Christianity and Culture are hosting a conference "America and the Problem of Empire" and "Christianity America and the Problem of Empire" at Michigan State University October 12 - 15.
Participants will include: Max Stackhouse, Princeton Seminary, Joel Bakan, Writer and Director, "The Corporation," Michael Denning, Yale University, Melani McAlister, George Washington University, Richard Gamble, Palm Beach Atlantic University
and other panelists. Topics will include: "Representing Global Labor in an Age of Imperialism," "Global Visions of American Evangelicals," "Christianity and the Globalization of Faith Based Ethics," "The War For Righteousness, Progressive Christianity and the Rise of the Messianic Nation"
