If you are interested in being a presenter, please send a detailed abstract (400-500 words) for a paper of 18 to 20 minutes reading time via e-mail. Please provide contact information, such as name, mailing address, phone number, and especially e-mail address.
If you want to propose a panel of three or four speakers, or three speakers and one respondent, please include the following information: panel title; name and contact information of the panel chair; an abstract for each paper; contact information for each presenter.
Especially encouraged to participate are graduate students, for whom, among other things, the Hyatt Regency also offers rooms at special rates. Once again, we also invite Graduate Students to submit to one of our many Graduate Student Awards including the Charles Redd Center Award for Western Studies and the Albuquerque Convention and Visitors Bureau Award (for guidelines, see http://www.h-net.org/~swpca/Awards/awards.htm).
The deadline for abstract and panel submissions to the area chair is November 15, 2005.
Registration deadline is December 31, 2005--all participants must register by this date!
Please specify as soon as possible whether your presentation requires a TV, VCR, slide projector, and/or screen. If you need to present on a specific day or at a specific time, please let me know as early as possible. Please remember that you must be present in person to present a paper; readings by proxy are not permitted.
