Papers are invited that discuss new and emerging directions in detective fiction. Topics might include new forms of mystery and detective fiction, contemporary revisions of earlier formulas, resurgent popularity of an older form (to new ends?), or new roles played by detective fiction in popular culture. Papers on individual authors are welcome, but such papers should focus on how a particular author is writing something “new.”
Please send abstracts of 250-500 words (as an MS Word attachment) to Bob Winston at winston@dickinson.edu. Please submit by Sept. 10th.
