On 8-9 December 2005 Cambridge University’s Graduate Cultural History Workshop will host ‘New Perspectives in Cultural History: A Conference for Graduate Students and Junior Academics’, to be held at Selwyn College and the Pitt Building, at the University of Cambridge. This two day conference invites papers from junior scholars in different disciplines conducting research into British cultural history. The aim is to provide a forum within which to compare findings as well as investigate contrasting methodologies. Papers are invited from graduate students and junior academics engaged in research into any area of cultural history between 1600 and 2000. Students studying Music, History of Art, English, etc. are particularly invited as well as those engaged in more conventional historical research. Margot Finn will delivery a plenary session on "The career implications of studying cultural history." Abstracts of up to 400 words should be sent to the email/postal address below.
