Marquette University Press, an academic publisher founded in 1916, with established strengths in the fields of philosophy and theology, is pleased to announce a new publishing initiative in the field of history. The intent of our new series, Marquette Monographs in History, initially is to publish the results of primary research in the social and cultural history of Europe in the broadest sense, from 1500 to the present. Thus, a wide range of scholarship would be of interest to the Press, including, for example, works on popular culture, the study of individual social groups, the history of gender, the impact of peoples and cultures of the non-European world on Europe, the social history of religion, and the interaction of law and society. For information, contact the series editor, Professor Julius Ruff.
