The Asociación para el Fomento de Estudios Históricos en Centroamérica (AFEHC) solicits participation in the development of a new historical reference work, the Diccionario Biográfico Centroamericano, supported by FRAMESPA, an affiliated research organization of the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (France), and the Instituto de Historia de Nicaragua y Centroamérica. Submissions are presently being accepted for entries from the 16th through the 19 century, with publication slated for 2008. The Association also encourages collaboration on the part of scholars interested in contributing in other ways to its extensive online repository of document transcriptions, book reviews, and other materials relating to the study of Central American history. Interested individuals should go directly to the organization's website for further information on the Diccionario and other AFEHC projects.
