CALL FOR PAPERS

The 10th Annual Australian Association of Writing Programs Conference will be held in Perth, Western Australia from 24 to 27 November 2005.

Papers are invited that investigate the nature of research in the creative and/or professional writing disciplines.

Topics might include:

• Recognising the value of creative production as research
• Industry and the writing disciplines: productive research connections
• The ethical issues relating to research for creative and professional writers
• Research funding and the creative arts in Australia & New Zealand
• Frameworks for higher degree research theses in the writing disciplines
• Practice-led approaches to research in the writing disciplines

DEADLINE: 1 AUGUST 2005.

Individual papers of approximately 20 minutes are invited. Please send a 200-word abstract. Proposals for panels (total of 60 minutes) are also invited.
