Scholars are invited to contribute entries, varying in length from 150 to 4,000 words, on key themes, wars, treaties, places, ideas, inventions, and people involved in the imperial rivalries in Europe and beyond from the Napoleonic Wars to the outbreak of World War I. Of special interest are entries dealing with the German Empire, South and Central America and the Caribbean. The Age of Imperialism will consist of two volumes organized around 1,000 A – Z entries totaling approximately 400, 000 words.

This round of contributions is to be complete by April 15, 2006. Modest remuneration is available for major contributors.
