The French Colonial Historical Society will hold its 2006 annual meeting in Dakar, Senegal, May 17-20. The principal theme of the meeting is Cultures and Colonization in French Africa, but as always the planning committee welcomes proposals on any aspect of French activities overseas after 1500. The deadline for proposals is October 15, 2005. Complete proposals should include your name, individual affifliation, contact information, a brief c.v. and a 100-200 word abstract.
