Submissions are invited for Power in the Middle Ages, the 33rd annual Sewanee Medieval Colloquium, 7 and 8 April 2006.
Papers should be 20-minutes (10 pages) long and may be related to the theme in any way -- our conference topics are broadly defined in order to accommodate medievalists with a wide range of interests. Please send abtract of approx. 200 words and brief c.v. no later than 1 October 2005. Plenary lecturers: Janet Nelson, University College, London; C. David Benson, University of Connecticut.
The SMC Prize is awarded annually for the best paper by a graduate student or recent PhD recipient. Selected papers are published following the meeting.
