Papers should be 20-minutes (10 pages) long and may be related to the theme in any way -- our conference topics are broadly defined in order to accommodate medievalists with a wide range of interests. The SMC Prize is awarded annually for the best paper by a graduate student or recent PhD recipient. Selected papers are published following the meeting.
