CALL FOR CONTRIBUTORS
Encyclopedia of Conflicts Since World War II
M.E. Sharpe, a New York-based academic and reference publisher, and East River Books, a reference book producer, are seeking contributing scholars for a revised version of its 1999 Encyclopedia of Conflicts Since World War II, a four-volume reference book on wars, negotiations, international organization, and alliances since 1945. The General Editor is Dr. James Ciment, editor of the original edition.
We are looking for scholars who can either write thorough updates on existing articles or new articles on events since 1998 (when the original edition went to press). Updates will range between 250 and 3000 words; articles on new events will range from 1000 to 3000 words. Deadlines will range from 1-3 months, depending on length of the assignment.
If you are interested in contributing to this exciting and important reference project--one we hope will continue to be the definitive reference work on conflicts in the post-World War II era--we would be happy to email you a prospectus with a full description of the project--with deadline, compensation, and other pertinent information, including a table of contents. Please contact the encyclopedia editorial assistant, Irene Chow at: conflicts@comcast.net
If you cannot contribute, please feel free to forward this email to any potentially interested scholars (either professors or graduate students).
Sincerely,
Irene Chow, Editorial Assistant
