“THE TRIALS OF AN EMPIRE” by Saintmoses Eromosele
is dedicated in honour of two military generals; Emeka Odimegwu Ojukwu and Yakubu 'Jack' Gowon, two 'controversial' generals of the Biafran(Defunct)and the Nigerian armies, who took Nigeria, regretably, through an 'unreasonable' Civil War at the expense of over a million precious lives; and Wole Soyinka, African ambassador for Literature, Cultural Renaissance and The Struggle.
This play has been scheduled to be staged across major cities of Nigeria between September and Ocober 1st, 2005 to mark Nigeria's 45th Independence Day anniversary celebration.
