The First East Asian International Conference on Human and Social Development (EAIC-HSD 2005), organized by the Faculty of Human & Social Development at Universiti Utara Malaysia, will be held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from 12-14 Nov 2005. Theme: "Emerging Issues in Human and Social Development", focusing on how East Asian countries address pertinent issues on human and social development in the light of the present day challenges. Topics include disaster issues, workforce diversity, immigrant workers, retirement issues, health issues, quality of work life and digital divide issues.
