Fifty years after Gilbert Murray's death, this conference brings together scholars from the UK, USA and Canada and from a variety of discplines to reassess his varied achievements. ABout 20 papers will be given, on Greek drama and religion; Murray's involvement in the theatre, in bradcasting and in psychic research, and his work in international relations and as a political liberal.

The conference is non-residential and will take place on the evening of 6 July and all day on 7 and 8 July. The full caharge is £80 (£40 for 6 and 7, or 6 and 8 July). Bursaries are available for stduents, to cover registration and travel.
