PRESERVATION, INTERPRETATION AND RECOLLECTIONS OF THE ONE-ROOM SCHOOLHOUSE EXPERIENCE

The objective of this conference is to empower those interested and involved with the preservation of country schools, the interpretation of the people and places involved, and recollections from those who taught and attended. The conference will involve workshops, panel discussions, paper and research presentations, and displays on a wide variety of topics related to country schoolhouses and their legacy. Scholars, educators, historians, museum professionals, and volunteers from diverse locations and backgrounds will share programs, research, and ideas.
